E&A negotiated a complex permit solution for $8.7 million in repairs to the Skagit River levee system by partnering with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA Fisheries, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and the Skagit River System Cooperative Tribes on behalf of the Skagit River Dike, Drainage, and Irrigation Partnership which represents five diking districts. This project established a new means to integrate meaningful fisheries habitat with major levee repairs, a first of its kind in the nation.
